As Tyrod Taylor enters his final season at Virginia Tech, most ‘experts’ suspect that he will have a pro future. Of course, that will all be determined at an NFL training camp. Whether he is good enough to play in the NFL is another story entirely, however, he will most likely be drafted.

Expert publications have him listed all over the draft rankings for quarterbacks this year (a year that is heavy on QBs). Obviously, these are preseason draft projections and a lot can change during the season. With Virginia Tech’s run first offense, it’s unlikely that Taylor will put up the massive numbers like the skin tossers running pass happy spread offense attacks.

Heading into his senior season, the highly touted quarterback for Virginia Tech is finally on the national radar. Especially since his confidence and passing efficiency increased significantly in the 2009 season, the media now knows what he is capable of. With a solid group of veteran receivers around him, the sky is the limit (or rather, VT’s style of offense is the limit…but that can’t be helped).
